CINEX and Suriname Energy Chamber (SEC) Introduction Meeting!

On Tuesday, January 21st, CINEX hosted an introductory meeting with the Suriname Energy Chamber (SEC), represented by its President, Mr. Orlando Olmberg. The meeting focused on fostering collaboration between the two organizations and exploring opportunities in the energy sectors of Curaçao and Suriname.

𝗞𝗲𝘆 𝗛𝗶𝗴𝗵𝗹𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁𝘀:
• Mr. Olmberg shared insights into the SEC’s role and recent developments in Suriname’s energy sector, particularly in oil and gas.
• Mr. Olmberg proposed a 30-page feature in the Energy Magazine to showcase Curaçao companies and those from the US and Suriname. This publication aims to highlight businesses interested in tapping into the growing oil and gas opportunities in Suriname.
• Both parties emphasized the benefits of structured collaboration to boost business opportunities and strengthen economic ties between Curaçao and Suriname.

The meeting concluded with an agreement to explore a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) and a follow-up meeting during the International Business Conference 2025 taking place in February in Suriname.

This marks a step forward in strengthening partnerships and unlocking energy sector potential for both countries.
