Haven – Curaçao, a new high-end F&B concept at the West End buidling in Otrobanda, another successful project facilitated with the support of CINEX.

Captivated by Curaçao’s charm, cultural history, and potential to be one of the most visited destinations, Mr. Remy Awkar, an entrepreneur and consultant with over 15 years of experience in leadership, Food & Beverage, and hospitality industry, reached out In January 2024 to the Curaçao Investment & Export Promotion Agency (CINEX) to explore investment opportunities on the island after a lot of market research, Mr. Awkar decided to establish “Haven”, an upscale and vibrant Restaurant, Lounge & Cocktail bar with a futuristic dining concept, like no other, within the West End Project in Otrobanda.

Haven is set to become the new hot spot for both locals and visitors, creating completely different experiences, offering a creative menu made from the freshest ingredients, a stunning and beautiful interior, with one of the best views on the island.
CINEX facilitated connections with property representatives and presented Curaçao’s Investment Guide and Fiscal Incentives, through which Mr. Awkar benefited from the Residence by Investment Permit program for his investment of over XCG 1 million.

CINEX also supported him by connecting with cargo companies, local suppliers, and service providers, while assisting in the facilitation of permits and licenses to streamline the project. “Haven is more than a place; Haven is a feeling! The project came to light after my many visits to Curaçao and my decision to move and live on the beautiful island, to make this project and my dream come true,” said Mr. Awkar. “I am sincerely grateful for the opportunities Curaçao has offered me as an investor and business owner and looking forward to many more projects that will showcase what we are able to create on the island, for the entire world to visit Curaçao”
