In 2025, CINEX acted as a vital catalyst for growth, facilitating various projects across diverse sectors. Based on the CINEX KPI Dashboard, the total project pipeline reached an estimated value of USD 995.0 million, with USD 153.3 million already completed, and an expected job creation of 827 positions, realized across:

  • Medical & Wellness & Special Care 
  • Renewable Energy & Innovation 

Strategic Partnerships: MoUs & Collaboration Agreements

To support these outcomes, CINEX significantly expanded its strategic partnership framework in 2025 through the signing of Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs) and Collaboration Agreements, reinforcing its role as a bridge between public and private stakeholders.

Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs)

The MoUs signed in 2025 focused on non-commercial, strategic cooperation with investment promotion agencies, chambers of commerce, public institutions, and sector organizations. These agreements provide a structured foundation for:

  • Bilateral investment and trade promotion
  • Joint export development initiatives
  • Market access and business matchmaking
  • Knowledge exchange, data sharing, and institutional capacity building

Through these MoUs, CINEX enhanced Curaçao’s integration into regional and international investment and trade networks, supporting inbound and outbound trade missions, joint promotional activities, and investor aftercare.

Collaboration Agreements (Commercial Entities)

In parallel, CINEX formalized Collaboration Agreements with commercial entities to ensure clear deliverables, accountability, and measurable economic impact. These agreements are designed to:

  • Identify and promote bankable investment opportunities
  • Facilitate investor pipelines and deal origination
  • Provide “green carpet” investor facilitation services
  • Offer promotional visibility for Curaçao’s priority sectors through physical and digital platforms

This approach ensures that partnerships with the private sector remain structured, transparent, and results-driven, while fully aligned with CINEX’s non-commercial mandate.

Collectively, the MoUs and Collaboration Agreements signed in 2025 have:

This year, CINEX successfully marked Curaçao as a global center for dialogue and trade by co-hosting and collaborating on several landmark events that highlighted our strategic sectors:

  • Curaçao International Investment Summit (CIIS) 2025: Our flagship event that united investors and policymakers under the theme “Your Hub for Global Trade & Investment.”
  • CHICOS 2025: The Caribbean Hotel Investment Conference & Operations Summit brought over 200 international hospitality leaders to our shores for the first time.
  • International Medical Conference Curaçao: A high-level gathering that showcased our island’s growing potential as a hub for medical excellence and healthcare innovation.
  • Caribbean Climate Energy Conference: A critical dialogue focused on the regional transition to renewable energy and sustainable economic resilience.

2025’s Crowning Achievement: The Launch of the Curaçao Innovation Hub

Targeting Full Activation: Q1 2026

On November 27, 2025, CINEX officially reached a historic milestone with the launch of the Curaçao Innovation Hub. Developed in a strategic partnership with CITI and backed by the Ministry of Economic Development, this initiative is the engine that will drive our island toward a future-ready economy.

The launch event at Sambil brought together the island’s most influential leaders and creators to witness a vision that is already attracting significant early financial commitments from key stakeholders.

What the Hub Brings to Curaçao:

  • Sector-Specific Innovation: The Hub features immersive digital concepts including a  Digital Twin, Smart Port VR, and a Renewable Energy Innovation Lab.
  • Creative Growth: A dedicated Creative Co-Creation Studio and specialized tracks for Medical and Wellness Tourism.
  • Strategic Alliances: We have already formalized new collaboration agreements with the University of Curaçao (UoC) and Monumentenzorg to blend academic excellence with our cultural heritage.
  • A Platform for Talent: As our CEO Miles Mercera stated, “The Innovation Hub is not just a building—it is a commitment to supporting the creators and entrepreneurs of Curaçao”.
